How Our Listings Work
Free Listings
OurPetGroomer.com lists over 84,000 grooming businesses sourced from publicly available data. Every groomer has a free listing that includes their business name, address, and phone number. Free listings appear in city search results sorted by rating after all paid listings.
Paid Placement Tiers
Grooming businesses can upgrade their listing to one of three paid tiers for increased visibility. Paid listings are clearly marked with badges so pet owners can distinguish between organic and promoted results.
- VerifiedVerified listings appear above free listings and include a verified badge, photos, services, and direct contact links.
- FeaturedFeatured listings appear above Verified listings with a highlighted card design and additional profile features.
- Top GroomerSpotlight (Top Groomer) listings are guaranteed placement in the top 3 positions on their city page.
Sort Order
Listings on city pages are sorted by tier (Spotlight first, then Featured, then Verified, then Free), and within each tier by rating. This means paid listings always appear above free listings. We believe this is fair because paid groomers have verified their identity and invested in their online presence, which signals quality to pet owners.
Transparency
We display a disclosure notice on all city pages indicating that Featured and Spotlight listings are paid placements. We believe in transparency and want pet owners to make informed decisions when choosing a groomer.
